VHA Facility Planning Tools
A major update and revision of the Space Planning Criteria for VA Facilities (Handbook 7610) and VA Design Guides is currently underway. The update process will be incremental; completed Criteria chapters and Guides will be posted on this site and noted as current. As much information in these Criteria and Guides is dated, it is recommended that they be used with moderate caution to assure that current standards of the health care industry are addressed in meeting VA's needs.
