The DCLG is hosting a Summit entitled “Listening and Learning Together: Building a Bridge of Trust” on June 19 and 20, 2006 on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The purpose of the Summit is to assemble members of cancer advocacy organizations, with emphasis on including those who serve the medically underserved, to:
- develop mechanisms for post-Summit two-way communication and collaboration
- form alliances between groups and individuals and NCI, and
- identify/highlight replicable best practices.
