The Director, Recreation Therapy, reports to the Chief Consultant, Rehabilitation Strategic Healthcare Group (SHG). He uses an interdisciplinary approach to provide professional/technical leadership, and guidance to the Rehabilitation SHG, and other SHG's network directors, all VHA leaders, and other stockholders for issues involving recreation/creative arts therapy practice, education, research, information and administration. He manages a national program that consists of Recreation Therapists, Creative Arts Therapists and support personnel who are meeting and responding to the numerous challenges in health care.
