  • Evaluability Assessments of International Trafficking Programs

  • International Programs to Combat Trafficking (Bilateral/Regional/Global) 

Evaluability Assessments of International Trafficking Programs 

  • Eligibility – No limitations 
  • Application Deadline – January 15th, 2008 
  • Application Mechanism – www.grants.gov 
  • Funding Availability – Maximum $200,000 per award for 12 month projects; two awards expected  
  • Background/Priorities – Awarding two cooperative agreements to conduct 4-5 evaluability assessments of existing G/TIP projects 

    • Creation/implementation of technical assistance strategies for assessed projects 
    • Development of final report of lessons learned for global dissemination

 International Collaborative Partnerships to Combat Trafficking 

  • Eligibility – U.S.-based organizations 
  • Application Deadline – March 3rd, 2008 
  • Application Mechanism – www.grants.gov 
  • Funding Availability – Maximum $200,000 per award for 12-24 month projects; up to six projects 
  • Background/Priorities – Awarding six grants to support relationships between U.S.-based and indigenous NGOs 

    • Support local capacity-building through mentoring relationships 
    • Each grant must include at least one sub-grant to a locally-based NGO partner 

International Programs to Combat Trafficking 

  • Bilateral Opportunities: 

    • Eligibility – No limitations
    • Application Deadline – Determined by each Embassy in-country

      • Deadline for embassies to submit to G/TIP is February 12, 2008 

    • Application Mechanism –Determined by each Embassy in-country
    •  Background/Priorities –

      • Programs that address one or more of the “3 P’s” 
      • G/TIP gives priority to Tier 2 Watch List and Tier 3 countries with economic need and political will to improve the response to TIP
      • Proposals that meet needs identified in the annual TIP Report will receive favorable consideration

International Programs to Combat Trafficking

  • Regional/Global Opportunities

    • Eligibility – No limitations 
    • Application Deadline – February 12th, 2008 
    • Application Mechanism – www.grants.gov 
    • Background/Priorities – 

      • Programs that address one or more of the “3 P’s”at the regional or global levels 
      • New or pilot initiatives that will have regional or global impact

 International Programs to Combat Trafficking –Funding Breakdown

 

Although no appropriations are yet final, G/TIP anticipates having approximately $8.5 million available in Fiscal Year 2008 to fund programs through this solicitation, with an anticipated regional breakdown as follows:
