BLM Recognizes Lance Oil and Gas Company and Big Horn Environmental Consultants:
Awards Presented at Annual PAW meeting in Casper

Today the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Buffalo Field Office presented Lance Oil and Gas Company and Big Horn Environmental Consultants with awards of appreciation at the Petroleum Association (PAW) of Wyoming meeting at the Parkway Plaza in Casper.

Both companies were recognized by BLM for their use of Best Management Practices (BMPs) in oil and gas development in the Powder River Basin.

  • Lance Oil and Gas was recognized for incorporating systematic engineering support to road and transportation planning for CBM resource development in the Powder River Basin.

  • Tom Maectle and Big Horn Environmental Consultants was recognized for outstanding efforts with BLM, Wyoming Game and Fish Department and other consultants to communicate and coordinate on wildlife issues in the Powder River Basin, which improves permitting time and reduces wildlife impacts through better planning.

“Lance Oil and Gas and Big Horn Environmental Consultants really deserve recognition for their efforts. They have risen above the industry standard to consistently incorporate engineering into the mainstream of their development activities,” said Chris Hanson, Buffalo Field Office Manager.
Chris Hanson presented both awards at the Annual Petroleum Association (PAW) of Wyoming meeting at the Parkway Plaza in Casper, WY.

The Buffalo Field Office has started a new program to recognize oil and gas operators who are setting an example for industry in the development of Federal oil and gas resources. Lance Oil and Gas and Big Horn Environmental Consultants are the first operators to receive awards from this program.
