BLM Releases Brown Cow II POD CBNG Development Project
Environmental Assessment for Public Comment

BLM’s Rawlins Field Office is asking the public to review and comment on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Brown Cow II POD Coalbed Natural Gas (CBNG) Development Project, located approximately 8 miles north of Baggs, Wyo.

The Brown Cow II POD EA analyzes the environmental impacts of drilling, completing, and operating up to 12 coalbed natural gas well locations in Carbon County, Wyo. All of the proposed well locations are located on BLM-administered public lands, with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Warren E & P, Inc. as the project proponents.

The EA is available by visiting the BLM website: www.wy.blm.gov/rfo/nepa.htm

Comments on this EA will be accepted until August 28, 2006. Comments may be submitted by mail to:

Travis Bargsten, Project Manager
Rawlins Field Office
P.O. Box 2407
Rawlins, WY 82301

For those without internet access, a copy of the EA may be obtained by contacting Travis Bargsten at (307) 328-4387.

Comments may be submitted by facsimile to (307) 328-4224, or by e-mail at rawlins_wymail@blm.gov. A copy of the EA is also held at both the Rawlins Field Office and the Wyoming BLM State Office for public review.
