PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH GRANTED PARDONS


WASHINGTON, D.C. - President George W. Bush granted pardons to the following four individuals:

Kristan Diane Bullock Akins Raleigh, North Carolina

Offense: Embezzlement by a bank employee, 18 U.S.C. § 656.

Sentence: August 13, 1990; Eastern District of North Carolina; three years probation with the special conditions of 100 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.

Ronald William Cauley East Providence, Rhode Island

Offense: Misapplication of bank funds by an employee, 18 U.S.C. § 657.

Sentence: November 14, 1980; District of Rhode Island; one year probation.

Stephen Davis Simmons Austin, Texas

Offense: Possession of counterfeit obligations, 18 U.S.C. § 472.

Sentence: December 9, 1981; Western District of Texas; five years probation and a $2,000 fine.

Roger Charles Weber Northridge, California

Offense: Theft from an interstate shipment, 18 U.S.C. § 659.

Sentence: February 10, 1969; Central District of California; two years probation and a $200 fine.
