Plus, when you review the 6-type framework you'll see how well the family literacy components overlay the 6-types of school, family and community involvement. I know I've used this often in showing schools how family literacy is a concept that fits right into their "school culture". The web site is <http://www.csos.jhu.edu/p2000/>. Joyce and her staff are among the most helpful professionals I have had the pleasure of working with. Their work covers types of partnership or parent involvement beyond family literacy, but family literacy is certainly included in the partnership framework. I encourage you to check the site and to contact the staff.
