Tune in to this opportunity to learn how to apply for a research grant in
adult and family literacy on NIFL's first ever webcast! 

WHAT:   NIFL-NIH-U.S. Department of Education technical assistance workshop
to help interested applicants compete for part of the $3.8 million of
research funding available for projects on adult and/or family literacy.

HOW:    Log onto http://www.nifl.gov.  You can tune in to this event from
your own computer at work or home.  You will even be able to interact with
the presenters in Houston by sending questions via email.

Featured speakers include Dr. David Francis from the University of Houston,
Dr. Fred Erikson from the University of California-Los Angeles, and Dr.
Peggy McCardle of the National Institute for Child Health and Human
Development (NICHD).  Presentations will include an overview of the RFA
itself as well as methodological issues, and guidance on preparing and
submitting your application.
