Flu vaccine is now available at Tennessee’s county health department clinics and other health care providers including private physicians’ offices, community clinics and even grocery stores. The Department of Health strongly recommends the flu vaccine, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that October or November is the best time to get vaccinated. Immunization against flu protects not only the person vaccinated, but his or her family, friends and coworkers as well.
