National Health Interview Survey, Imputed Annual Family Income 1990-96 The National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) Imputed Annual Family Income 1990-96 files (CD-ROM Series 10, No. 9A ASCII Version) contain responses to the two annual family income questions from the core NHIS questionnaire with imputed values substituted for missing values and imputation flags that indicate whether each of the two annual family income variables have been imputed. There is one file for each of the seven survey years. The files are intended to be used in conjunction with the NHIS core and supplement files and have been constructed to enable users to link them with NHIS files for the corresponding year. Also now available from the NHIS web site are the complete 1990-1996 Family Resources files which contain more detailed income information. These detailed files were not available when the abbreviated 1990-1996 files were released. The abbreviated income files are being kept available from this website along with the more detailed Family Resource files.
