Welcome!
Every year, millions of teens work in part-time or summer jobs. Early work experiences can be rewarding for young workers - providing great opportunities to learn important job skills. Today’s youth will be the workforce of the 21st Century. One of my priorities for the U.S. Department of Labor is to assist America’s youth in preparing to enter that workforce.

The Wage and Hour Division distributed a series of public service announcements (PSAs) to radio stations throughout the country as part of the department’s national YouthRules! public awareness campaign. You may view and download two sets of PSAs available in 60/30/15 second English and Spanish spots from the YouthRules! Public Service Announcement Web page. One set focuses on general youth employment and the other on agriculture-specific youth employment.

The public comment period closed for both the NPRM and ANPRM on July 16, 2007. The submitted comments, Federal Register notices, instructions, and related documents are available at Wage and Hour’s Youth Employment Comments Website.
