If you're unsure about the spelling of the first name or last name of a student, faculty member or staff member, you can do a search using a partial name, beginning with and/or followed by an asterisk (*).
For example:
Type deb* to find deb, debbie, debra and deborah
Type green* to find green, greene, greenberg, greenspan, etc.
Type *smith* to find smith, taylor-smith, smith-jones, etc.
The UVM telephone service covers the following exchanges:
Calls between these exchanges require only the last five digits of the number. For example, when calling from on campus, you would only need to use 6-xxxx or 2-xxxx (versus 656-xxxx or 542-xxxx when calling from off campus).
In addition, UVM departments affiliated with Fletcher Allen Health Care use the 847 exchange, which, along with any other Fletcher Allen number, may be dialed as 7-xxxx from on campus.
