Abstract:

Notice of an informal public hearing concerning the notices of
proposed rulemaking issued on November 25, 1986 on scaffolds (51 FR
42680), fall protection (51 FR 42718), and stairways and ladders (51
FR 42750) used in the construction industry. Comment period for
written response on the fall protection proposal is reopened to
obtain additional information on workers engaged in steel erection
activities. The hearing will begin on March 22, 1988 in Washington,
D.C. Written comments on the fall protection requirements for steel
erection workers must be received by March 8, 1988.
