**Updated HIV Guidance**
The portion of these 2001 Guidelines pertaining to HIV Recommendations has been superceded by the Updated U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines for the Management of Occupational Exposures to HIV and Recommendations for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis - 2005.

The 2005 Guidelines only update the HIV Recommendations and do not pertain to Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.

For Hepatitis B and C the 2001 Guidelines on this page should still be referenced.
