DOL has established the following E-Government vision, strategy, and
success measures to complement the overall Federal strategy. This approach not
only sets the Department’s
E-Government direction in concert with the Federal effort, but also
ensures that the Department institutionalizes its management frameworks to
bring the strategy to fruition.
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR IT STRATEGY
The Department is pursuing an IT strategy designed to support this
E-Government Strategic Plan and other Department planning and guidance
documents. A key feature of the IT strategy is the integration of DOL’s
enterprise architecture and IT capital planning efforts with its Government
Performance and Results Act (GPRA) efforts to ensure a tight alignment between
information technologies and business functions and processes. Appendix D
provides a brief overview of the Department’s IT strategy.
