OSHA ANNOUNCES FEDERAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is holding an open meeting of the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (FACOSH) in Washington on January 11.
The council will meet from 1:30-3:30 p.m, in Room N-4437 of the Department of Labor Frances Perkins Building, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20210.
The 16-person council advises OSHA on issues concerning the safety and health of federal employees. The council, composed of eight union officials representing federal employees and eight management representatives from various federal agencies, also helps establish and maintain effective safety initiatives and policies in every federal agency.
Agenda items will include:
- 55th Annual Federal Safety and Health Training Conference report.
- Plans for the 56th Annual Training Conference.
- Federal Executive Institute training proposal.
- Subcommittee reports.
- New business.
Written comments may be submitted to the Office of Federal Agency Programs, Room N-3112, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, DC 20210. Twenty copies are needed. Those submissions received prior to the meeting will be included in the record of the meeting.
