Source Water Protection Branch
The Source Water Protection Branch, under the supervision of a chief, manages the regional activities for Public Water Supply Supervision and Underground Injection Control programs under the Safe Drinking Water Act. It is also responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Region 6 Ground Water Protection Program. This program is consistent with the Agency's Ground Water Protection Strategy and the Ground Water Task Force. Responsibilities for the Branch involve cooperative planning, priority setting and program evaluation with State/Tribes and other responsible agencies; establishing goals and priorities for providing safe drinking water; and the identification and resolution of policy and program issues.
