Fugitive Hunt Intensifies

Note to editors/news directors: Law enforcement requests media assistance in republicizing this fugitive's picture and description. Thank you.

Law enforcement officials have redoubled their efforts to locate David Anthony Marrow, a felon who escaped Monday from a minimum-security prison near North Bend.

Officers with the US Marshals Service, Oregon State Police, Marion County Sheriff and Woodburn Police have been working with the Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit in vigorously following up leads in the case. The most recent focus has been on the Woodburn area.

Originally fleeing prison in a stolen 1999 red Jeep Cherokee, Oregon licence GATITA, which has not yet been located, Marrow may now be traveling in a blue PT Cruiser.

Marrow, 29, is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5'8" tall and weighs 175 lbs. He was incarcerated in August 2006 for second-degree assault from Clackamas County. His projected release date was December 2008.

Citizens are cautioned that, as with all fugitives, Marrow should be considered dangerous and not be approached. Anyone siting the Jeep should immediately notify their local law enforcement agency or call 9-1-1.

Others with information regarding Marrow's whereabouts should call the non-emergency number of their local law enforcement agency or the Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-945-0975.
