Question:

Where can I find the "percentage of US Airports that administer PFC charges", or simply the "number of US Airports that administer PFC charges"?

Answer:

This information is available on our national web site's PFC Monthly Reports page. Look at the first report labeled, "PFC Locations, Approved Collections, and Expiration Dates". It identifies each application an airport has. From this one can determine the number of airports collecting.

In calendar year 2001, there were 402 primary airports and 134 commercial service airports for a total of 536 airports authorized to impose a PFC. The most current source of this information is on our national web site's Passenger Boarding and All-Cargo Data page.
