Deputy Secretary of State John D. Negroponte is traveling to Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region September 10 - 18 for discussions with his counterparts on a broad range of bilateral and global issues.
The United States, as a Pacific nation, has strong relationships with the countries in Asia, and enduring interests in the region. The Deputy Secretary’s trip is an opportunity to deepen our engagement in a region that is growing in peace, prosperity, and freedom.
