Pigeon Falls Lane Stream Modifications

Sevier County, Tennessee

On July 25, 2008, TVA issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the construction of Pigeon Falls Lane in City of Pigeon Forge, Sevier County, Tennessee. The City of Pigeon Forge proposes to construct this 0.5-mile road to provide access to the proposed Pigeon Falls Village and other future developments, as well as serve as a regional connector.

The road construction would result in the filling of about 1,400 linear feet of two streams to the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River. These stream modifications require approval by TVA under Section 26a of the TVA Act and approval by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. TVA cooperated with the Corps in the preparation of an environmental assessment of the proposed action. TVA has adopted this environmental assessment.
