TVA Names Two Watts Bar Employees as Professionals of the Year

SPRING CITY, Tenn. – TVA has selected Randy Knox and Eddie Woods, employees at TVA’s Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, as professionals of the year for exemplifying key values that help ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Knox, a resident of Spring City, was chosen as Nuclear Maintenance Professional of the Year for his efforts to ensure safety comes first in the work activities he performs and for demonstrating strong teamwork and leadership skills.
TVA named Woods, a Cleveland resident, as the Radiation Protection, Chemistry & Environment Professional of the Year for his work in developing innovative improvements and for demonstrating flexibility in dealing with work issues.
“Randy and Eddie consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and pride in their work,” said Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Vice President Mike Skaggs. “On behalf of the entire Watts Bar team, I thank them for the way they do their jobs every day to help ensure TVA’s nuclear plants are operated safely and reliably and maintained to high standards.”
TVA is the nation’s largest public power provider and is completely self-financed. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
