Department of Corrections Seeks Fugitive Davis

At approximately 5:15 p.m., Monday, November 19, minimum-custody inmate Bobbie Lee Davis, Jr., jumped from a Department of Forestry work crew vehicle stopped at an intersection in Forest Grove. The vehicle was returning to South Fork Forest Camp near Tillamook from a work site south of McMinnville.
He is a white male, 5'10" tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing Prison Blues jeans and a blue chambray shirt. He also had yellow rain gear. All were stenciled "inmate." He also has a tattoo of a cross on his right hand, a tattoo on his back of a clown and a jack in the box, and an unspecifid tattoo on his right shoulder.
Davis, 29, was serving 13 months from Multnomah County for possession of a stolen vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.Davis was admitted to prison on July 16, 2001 and had a projected release date of May 11, 2002.
The Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit believes Davis may be in the Portland area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the non-emergency number of their local law enforcement agency or the Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-945-9030.
