OHH

As one of the four Centers in the World, the Oceans and Human Health Center at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School brings together medical and ocean researchers to investigate how humans affect oceans and how oceans affect humans in tropical and subtropical environments.
  • Identify sources of pollution and develop new monitoring tools, ultimately making beaches safer.
  • Identify the environmental conditions in which algae bloom and produce harmful toxins, and ultimately predict the blooms and protect and educate the susceptible human population.
