Uruguayan Fulbright Administrator Program
During the Uruguayan Fulbright Administrator Program, U.S. principals and teachers host Uruguayan teachers and administrators for two to three weeks in February. Uruguayan teachers and principals begin their exchange with a brief orientation in Washington, D.C. before traveling to U.S. host schools for a program that includes teaching and work-shadowing. Selected U.S. schools participate in a reciprocal exchange visit in Uruguay. The goal of the exchange program is to strengthen school systems through experiences in job-shadowing and observation of such aspects as: school-community relations; school administration, the role of teachers in school management, curriculum development, active learning, classroom management, technology in the classroom; parental involvement, volunteerism, and civic responsibility. This program is administered by The Graduate School, USDA.
