Pay Visitor Parking Begins August 4, 1997

New NLM Visitor Parking Regulations

Major building and road construction on the campus of the National Institutes of Health is resulting in many changes for visitors to NIH. Those that affect the NLM:

• A new attended visitor parking lot has opened across Center Drive from the Library, adjacent to the Natcher Building. Parking costs $2.00 per hour, with a maximum of $12.00 per day.
• 41 metered parking spaces are available in front of the NLM Building (Building 38). There are additional metered spaces at the Natcher Plaza. Metered parking (coins only) costs $.50 per 15 minutes, a maximum of $6.00 for 3 hours.
• Parking fees are in effect from 7:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. Monday - Friday, excluding Federal holidays.
• Change for parking is available from change machines in the Library and Natcher Building lobbies.
• Handicapped visitor parking (free) remains in the north side lot next to Building 38 near the handicapped ramp.
