Directions
The Governor's Residence parking lot, located on the S/W corner of 8th Avenue and Logan Street is free to visitors at all times. The lot is marked with a yellow and red sign stating "Governor's Residence Parking" and is first come/first served. After 5:00pm the parking lot to the immediate south is also available for your use.
To enter the Governor's Residence, cross Logan Street at the traffic light and continue walking east along 8th Avenue. If attending an Event or Tour, please enter through the gate leading to the front door. This gate will be unlocked 15 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time. If you are visiting for a meeting or appointment, please continue walking east along 8th Avenue to the driveway entrance. To the left of the driveway you will find an intercom call box. Please dial "000" and someone will speak with you.
To enter the Carriage House, cross Logan Street at the traffic light, then walk south along Logan Street. About halfway down the block you will see a pedestrian entrance on your left. If attending an Event this gate will be unlocked 15 minutes prior to the event start time. If you are visiting for a meeting or appointment, please push the red button on the intercom call box, and someone will speak with you.
HANDICAPPED ACCESS:
Wheelchair access to the Main Residence is through the 8th Avenue driveway gate, just east of the front entrance. The Carriage House event entrance is wheelchair accessible.
Handicap parking is available in the Governor¿s Residence public parking lot. When necessary, vehicles may drive into the grounds via the Pennsylvania Street driveway entrance to drop off, and pick up handicap guests. These vehicles cannot remain on the grounds and must park outside of the gates.
