Summary

GAO reviewed the Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration, U.S. Coast Guard's (the agencies) new rule on the Transportation Worker Identification Credential implementation in the maritime sector and hazardous materials endorsement for a commercial driver's license. GAO found that (1) the final rule implements the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 and the Security and Accountability for Every Port Act of 2006; and (2) the agencies complied with applicable requirements.
