Technology Transfer
Oak Ridge National Laboratory and its operating contractor, UT-Battelle, are committed to being active partners in the region's economic development. Working with the $150 million Battelle Ventures program, ORNL's Technology Transfer and Economic Development organization is dedicated to starting new technology-based companies using intellectual property developed at the laboratory. For universities and existing industries, the laboratory's user facilities make high-tech tools available for research.
