Program Description
VA provides medically prescribed prosthetic and
sensory aids to eligible veterans. These aids include artificial limbs,
hearing aids, communication aids, eyeglasses, orthopedic braces and shoes,
wheelchairs, crutches and canes.
If you
need a prosthetic appliance, your VA doctor will prescribe one for
you.

clinic.
General Program Requirements
Prosthetics is part of the Medical Benefits
Package.
You must be enrolled in the VA
health care system or be eligible based on one of the exceptions in the
law.
