Boston's Program In Action

Conducting the Youth Risk Behavior Survey

  • Administering the YRBS to collect data on youth risk behaviors that are representative of Boston students in grades 9–12.

  • Disseminating YRBS results to citywide agencies, headmasters, principals, administrators, and policy makers.

  • Using YRBS data to develop, plan, and improve programs and policies that affect major causes of death and disease among youth and adults, assess needs for new programs and grants, and develop classroom lessons.
