GRANTS
RSA Scholarships

The Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) awards grants to colleges and universities for providing scholarship assistance to students interested in pursuing careers in rehabilitation, such as rehabilitation counseling, undergraduate education in the rehabilitation services and rehabilitation technology. Students interested in scholarships can obtain information on fields of study and how to apply at the RSA Training Program Home Page. Students who receive scholarships under this program are required to "pay back" their scholarship through employment in support of the public rehabilitation program. Typical settings include State vocational rehabilitation agencies or agencies or organizations that have service arrangements with State vocational rehabilitation agencies; or Federally-funded centers for independent living. The student is expected to work two years in such settings for every year of full-time scholarship support received. Although this is the primary condition for a scholarship, there are other conditions.
