Sisters Network Inc.Founded in 1994, the Sisters Network Inc. is the first national African-American breast cancer survivorship organization and has affiliated its position as the national voice and a leader in the African-American woman's fight against breast cancer. Presently, there are 39 Sisters' affiliate chapters around the nation. Each affiliate chapter is survivor-run. The national headquarters serves as a critical information resource for African-American women and is nationally recognized among leading medical establishments and breast cancer physicians. Services and outreach initiatives continue to promote the importance of breast health through personal empowerment, support, breast education programs, resource information, and research through its strong affiliate chapter base. The organization also hosts the only annual national conference to specifically address the impact of breast cancer on the African-American community.
