Bishop, CA - July 8, 2008...The White Mountain Ranger District of the Inyo National Forest will host a summer Junior Ranger program beginning Friday, July 11th. Children ages 6 to 10 are invited to meet Inyo National Forest naturalist Todd Wanner at the Gazebo in the back of the Bishop City Park at 9:00 AM for a 2 hour program. The ranger program is designed to introduce kids to the natural world and have loads of fun while learning about insects, plants, the water environment and more.
Pre-registration is not necessary, simply show up any Friday morning at 9:00 between July 11 and August 15th at the back of the city park. Be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a snack. The program is free and parents are more than welcome to attend.
