Bishop, CA (June 26, 2008)... Come have a Blast! Are you looking for something for the whole family to do and enjoy? Then be sure not to miss the US Forest Service "Fire Safety Fun Festival" Open House on July 4th directly following the Mammoth Lakes Parade. Come join us from approximately 12:00 to 3:00 at the Forest Service Fire Station, located on Main Street and Sawmill Cutoff Road (by Shady Rest Campground.) Kids can play fire related games. Activities will include:
Come meet the interagency fire-fighters from the Bureau of Land Managment and the US Forest Service and learn how wildland fires are suppressed. Fire Prevention guest Smokey Bear will be making appearances throughout the day. Everyone is welcome to join the fun!
