CCMC Mission Statement

The CCMC is a multi-agency partnership to enable, support and perform the research and development for next-generation space science and space weather models.

GEM 2008 Modeling Challenge

CCMC is supporting GEM 2008 Modeling Challenge organized by the GGCM Metrics and Validation Focus Group. The Challenge involves the following metrics studies: magnetic field at geosynchronous orbit, magnetopause crossings by geosynchronous satellite, plasma density/temperature at geosynchronous orbit, ground magnetic perturbations. The first results of the Challenge will be discussed at the GEM mini-workshop at the Fall AGU. To participate in this first round of the Challenge please submit your model results using CCMC's on-line submission interface prior to November 15, 2008.

Movie-on-Request Now Available at CCMC for Run-on-Request runs

CCMC now offers a Movie-on-Request capability for most visualizations for 2D and 3D model output data (i.e., IDL 3Dview visualization of Run-on-Request result data). Data outputs for multiple time steps can be requested at the same time with the movie.
