FOREST PLANNING
The Regional Forester approved the Stanislaus National Forest
Land and Resource Management Plan (Forest Plan) and
Environmental Impact Statement on October 28, 1991. Continued
planning occurs so that the Forest Plan remains a dynamic and
responsible tool for managing the Forest's land and resources in
a changing social and economic climate.

The 1991 Forest Plan divided the Forest into the 12 Management Areas
shown on these maps.
FOREST ROADS ANALYSIS
The Forest Roads Analysis (FRA) identifies issues, guidelines, and
opportunities related to Forest roads
management.
