MARKED TRAILS

Crabtree: One-half mile east of Pinecrest off Dodge Ridge Road, this area offers easy through most difficult trails. Trailhead located just off Dodge Ridge Road, one-half mile before the Dodge Ridge Ski Area. Parking for 30+ vehicles, restroom, information and maps available at the trailhead. Trails are not groomed and snowmobiles are prohibited. Free brochures and trail maps are also available at the Summit Ranger District.

Gooseberry: One-half mile east of Pinecrest off Dodge Ridge Road, this area offers more difficult through most difficult trails. Trailhead located just off Dodge Ridge Road, one-half mile past the Dodge Ridge Ski Area. Parking for 8+ vehicles, information and maps available at the trailhead. Free brochures and trail maps are also available at the Summit Ranger District.

UN-MARKED TRAILS

Several excellent unmarked nordic routes are available to advanced backcountry skiers with a sense of adventure and excellent winter navigation and survival skills. These routes offer spectacular views, and outstanding opportunities for quiet and solitude. Contact the Summit Ranger District for additional information about these nordic ski routes.
