On Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 2 p.m., the public is invited to Homestead National Monument of America to learn how to husk corn. Last spring Homestead National Monument of America volunteers planted a field of corn using a check-row planter pulled by horses just to the north of the new Heritage Center. It is now time to harvest the bounty from the field.
