National Emergency Grants to Aid Laid-Off Workers in Idaho and Illinois
Recent National Emergency Grant Announcements:
Idaho:
The Department of Labor has approved up to $888,250, of which $329,500 is being released initially, to provide employment transition-related assistance for approximately 175 dislocated farmers, eligible family members and farmhands throughout the State.
Illinois:
The Department of Labor has approved up to $5,000,000, of which $2,261,904 will be released initially, to supplement a previous grant of $5 million to continue providing transition assistance to workers who lost their jobs from the airline and related industries following the September 11th terrorist attacks.
