February 28, 2003 - The NIFC Fire RAWS has been deployed in support of the Columbia shuttle recovery efforts in Texas. The Bob McCormick of the BLM's Remote Sensing Fire Weather Support Unit at the National Interagency Fire Center is the lead technician for the effort.
