Can I submit my application electronically?

You may submit your application electronically via www.grants.gov. E-mail applications, however, are not acceptable.

We're experiencing problems with our Grants.gov submission. Can we send via e-mail or fax?

No. CDC accepts applications by two methods. First and preferably, electronically through www.grants.gov. Under "Get Started," the one-time registration process will take three to five days to complete. The second option is a paper submission. For paper submissions, applicants should submit the original plus two copies of the application by mail or express delivery service. Mail paper applications to the CDC Procurement and Grants Office, Technical Information Management Section, 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30341.

Can I hand-deliver my application?

Yes, you may physically deliver hard copies to the appropriate address by 4:00 p.m. on the closing date.

I am attempting to submit my application through grants.gov but it will not go through. What is the problem?

You will need to register your organization before you can submit an application. Also, on a yearly basis, you will need to update all information regarding your organization in the Central Contracting Registry (CCR)

Does an application have to be at the CDC office by the deadline date or can it be postmarked by the deadline date?

The application must be received by the deadline date and time.

Can I get an extension on the deadline date?

Extensions are not granted to individual organizations or on a case-by-case basis. If an amendment to the original deadline date is necessary, it will be posted on all sites on which the full-length FOA is available. The only exceptions to timely submission are those caused by carrier error (if proof is available that the package should have been submitted on time) and uncontrollable weather conditions.

What time does your mailroom close?

The current time deadline for submissions is 4:00 p.m.

We missed the LOI deadline date. Can we still apply?

Please see Section IV.3., Submission Dates and Times of your RFA in order to find if your LOI is requested or required. If a LOI is not required your RFA will state, "Although the LOI is not required, not binding, and does not enter into the review of the subsequent application, it will be used to gauge the level of interest in this program and to allow CDC to plan the application review." If your LOI is not required, you are still eligible to submit an application by the deadline date.
