The Genetic Science Learning Center is an outreach education program located in the midst of bioscience research at the University of Utah. Our mission is to help people understand how genetics affects their lives and society.

- National DNA Day
April 25, 2005 ~ The National Human Genome Research Institute, in cooperation with the American Society of Human Genetics, the Genetic Alliance and the National Society of Genetic Counselors offer resources for the next generation of scientists who will use the human genome sequence to benefit human health.
- Human Genome Project: Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and features a student guide to the Human Genome Project.
- Dolan DNA Learning Center (DNALC) : An on-line science center devoted entirely to public genetics education. The DNALC offers week-long, hands-on genetics workshops for middle school and high school students.
- Molecular Science Institute

- Genetic Alliance : An international coalition established to promote healthier lives by fostering the integration of genetic advances into quality and affordable healthcare, public awareness and consumer-centered public policies.
- Genetics and Public Policy Center : An independent and objective source of credible information on genetic technologies and genetic policies for the public, media and policymakers.
- Understanding Gene Testing : A tutorial from the National Cancer Institute that illustrates what genes are, explains how mutations occur and are identified within genes, and discusses the benefits and limitations of gene testing for cancer and other disorders.
- Your Genome : A website produced by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute to help people understand the implications of genomes and genomic science. Information is categorized by beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

- PubMed: A service of the National Library of Medicine, and includes over 14 million citations for biomedical articles. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals.
- MEDLINE Plus: Extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 650 diseases and conditions.
