Who's who in federal export promotion websites
Primary sites
FirstGov.gov - The U.S. Government's Official Web Portal
The just-opened web information portal for the United States Federal Government. Designed to be a "citizens guide" for transactions with the U.S. government. A project of the President's Management Council. It has a "trade" section that is heavily weighted with SBA's information and tradenet website.
Export.gov - The U.S. Government Export Portal
Export portal for USDOC and eventually the TPCC agencies. It is designed to be a one-stop information source for everything an exporter will need in order to export. It will eventually contain all USG export assistance information, products, and services. It is organized around 5 needs of exporters and is not based on organizational structure at all.
Trade.gov - International Trade Administration (ITA)
The International Trade Administration (ITA) is here to help your U.S. businesses participate fully in the growing global marketplace. Providing practical information to help you select your markets and products. Ensuring that you have access to international markets as required by our trade agreements. And safeguard you from unfair competition from dumped and subsidized imports.
The United States Commercial Service
The official "home page" for USFCS. Providing world class market research, trade events that promote your product or service to qualified buyers, introductions to qualified buyers and distributors, and counseling through every step of the export process.
