Several positions such as Estimator, Field Manager and Superintendent have varied levels.  Typically the senior positions require more experience and have greater responsibilities.

When a high school degree is listed as a requirement, many employers will accept an equivalent such as a GED.

  • Manage on-site activity
  • Schedule multiple houses (per day)
  • Coordinate on-site construction with minimal supervision
  • Conduct house inspections
  • Know and understand company and OSHA safety standards
  • Adjust personnel and equipment resources to problem solve

  • Interface with various agencies

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High School degree required
  • College degree a plus
  • 2 years superintendent experience
  • 3 years assistant superintendent experience
  • 4 years managing subcontractors
  • Closing Coordinator If you are required to:
  • Assist with contract administration and escrow tracking
  • Prepare presentations and special reports
  • Compose letter and other correspondence

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree
  • 1 year certificate college or technical school
  • 3 -6 moths related experience required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Construction Operations Administrator If you are required to:
  • Maintain overhead budget and process invoices
  • Maintain schedule of department manager
  • Enter necessary data for processing and tracking orders

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree a plus
  • Construction scheduling experience a plus
  • Construction Schedule Manager If you are required to:
  • Coordinate and develop the construction schedule
  • Serve as schedule system administrator
  • Coordinate and train staff/vendors on procedures and use of scheduling system
  • Maintain procedural manuals for scheduling system

  • Analyze reports for trends and problems

  • Design Planner If you are required to:
  • Coordinate the model merchandising design process
  • Audit all request for model installation
  • Manage the ordering and delivery of products
  • Assist in creating themes for models
  • Research new products and current trends

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree required
  • Design degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years design experience
  • Read and interpret information from blue prints a must
  • Development Coordinator If you are required to:
  • Acquire all building related plan approvals and permits
  • Expedite building schedules
  • Request and track changes to building plans/schedules

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree required
  • 2 years administrative experience
  • Proficiency in computer applications a must
  • Expeditor/Assistant Expeditor If you are required to:
  • Provide to all involved parties constant communication and feedback throughout the building process
  • Update schedules
  • Analyze reports
  • Maintain and disburse reports
  • Attend meetings and training sessions

  • Strong communications skills a must

  • Land Acquisition Manager/Land Development Manager If you are required to:

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree required (Engineering, Construction Management or Urban Planning)
  • 5 – 10 years of engineering, construction or development experience
  • Land Entitlement Project Manager/Assistant Land Entitlement Project Manager If you are required to:
  • Manage the planning approval (entitlement) process
  • Coordinate project reviews with specific departments (i.e. acquisitions), land planner and/or outside consultants
  • Coordinate hiring of consultants
  • Coordinate preparation of budgets, checklists, and project schedules
  • Oversee appropriate entities to ensure timely progression of entitlement process
  • Ensure timely payment of fees and an accurate project budget

  • Project administration and planning experience preferred
  • Knowledge of municipal codes and regulations a plus

  • 2 years construction experience a must

  • Roofing Inspector If you are required to:
  • Schedule roof inspections
  • Sigh-off on roof prior to payment approval
  • Communicate with trade contractors and manage their performance
  • Inspect work of trade contractors

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree required
  • College degree (Construction Management or related degree)
  • Journeyman level Tradesman a must without college degree
  • 3 years experience in the roofing industry
  • Safety Officer If you are required to:
  • Understand and manage all aspect of a company’s safety program, OSHA’s and State’s requirements
  • Ensure construction personnel understand safety programs and are properly trained
  • Establish a reporting and documentation system
  • Write reports and schedule follow-up meetings

    You will need all or a combination of:
  • High school degree
  • 5 years construction management experience
  • 30 classroom hours of official OSHA standards training
  • OSHA 500 preferred
  • Schedule Builder Coordinator If you are required to:
  • Update, generate and distribute reports
  • Maintain database
  • Order construction materials
  • Coordinate schedules of subcontractors
  • Troubleshoot software and computer technical issues

  • Perform walk-thru orientations
