Producer price highlights, 1995

The Producer Price Index for finished goods posted a 2.3-percent increase in 1995. The index for finished goods other than foods and energy rose faster than each of the separate indexes for finished consumer foods and finished energy goods. This article summarizes the changes in producer prices during 1995, including those for food, energy, intermediate materials, crude materials, and selected industries.
