GSA Announces Alliant Program DirectionGSA # 10478 March 26, 2008 WASHINGTON—In response to the March 5, 2008 decision by the U.S. Court of Federal Claims regarding the Alliant contracts, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will reevaluate the 62 proposals consistent with the court’s decision. GSA has reviewed the decision carefully and will now implement actions to address the judge’s findings and following this process, the Alliant contracts will be awarded. While GSA remains strongly committed to the Alliant program, other Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWAC) such as Millennia, Millennia Lite, Answer, 8(a) STARS, VETS, COMMITS NexGen, and the IT Schedule 70 programs are available to our customers to meet all of their IT needs as well as our Assisted Acquisition Services for agencies desiring acquisition help using these vehicles. Alliant is a GWAC which provides federal agencies a centralized source to acquire integrated information technology (IT) solutions worldwide. The contract has a 5-year base period with one 5-year option and provides streamlined access to a broad range of management and technical support services, enabling total and complex IT solutions to be acquired under a pre-competed multiple award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (MA/IDIQ) contract. ###
