Snow Shoeing, Cross Country & Skate Skiing

Offering hundreds of miles of groomed and ungroomed trails, cross country and skate skiing on the Bridger-Teton National Forest is a wonderful way to see the beauty of a snow covered forest in the front country areas near town, or the backcountry areas away from civilization. Skiers are encouraged to take the necessary safety gear with them, including extra food, water and avalanche transceivers, if traveling into the backcountry. To learn more about the cross-country and skate skiing opportunities on the forest, please click a desired location on the Map. When venturing into the backcountry, please check the daily, area Avalanche Forecast, Updated December-April or call 307-733-2664.
