Jurek Sadowski

Jerzy (Jurek) Sadowski is an Associate Scientist in the Proximal Probe Microscopy facility of the Center for Functional Nanomaterials at Brookhaven National Laboratory. A native of Poland, he holds a M.S. degree from Nicolas Copernicus University in Torun and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Electron Technology, Warsaw, Poland. Before joining CFN in January 2008, he has worked as a research staff member at the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, in Sendai, Japan.

Jurek's research interest lies primarily in low-energy electron microscope (LEEM) and scanning probe microscope (SPM) studies of the nucleation, growth and phase transitions in thin films. He is in charge of the XPEEM/LEEM endstation at the U5UA beamline at NSLS.
